This is my favorite salad, made during the winter.
It is colorful, fresh, juicy and the drunken raisins makes it even more yummy! 🙂
Cabbage, carrot, orange salad with drunken raisins
You need
white cabbage
carrots
oranges
raisins
grappa or rhum
extra virgin olive oil
First of all put a whole package of raisins in a jar and cover with you favorite grappa or rhum.
You longer you leave them, the better they will taste.
You can use these drunken raisins with chicken or pork, in other salads or in cakes and muffins for. ex.
Marisa shared this lovely idea with me during one of her jam and marmalade classes in 2004.
just mix the cabbage, carrots and oranges, add raisins
season with olive oil, some salt and pepper
and enjoy!
