January has been a very very wet month, it has rained almost every day.
But now and then the sun come back shining in a clear blue sky.
One of those days I made a lovely walk from Castelletto to Torri.
I started in the afternoon and when I got to Crero the sun started slowly to fade.

It was at least three years since I did this track, so when I got to this place I was surprised that I even remembered it.

This is one of only two places where you can find the Cistus Albidus growing in wildness in Torri, or on the Garda lake.

I felt a little touched, so many memories, so many things that has happen, so many people known.

Spicy mix for apple juice - Preparato per succo di mela speziato

I found this recipe at Francesca’s La Tana del Riccio. Francesca was also the December host of Salutiamoci, and I was her tutor.

You need:

For 1 l of apple juice (unsugared)

1 tsp of star anise
1 tbsp of grated dry orange peel (organic)
2 pieces of cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia)
5-6 cloves

Mix the ingredients and the put them together with the apple juice in a pot. Heat slowly until boiling.
Serve hot.
I can’t stop drinking it since I discovered it!
