This is the 27th week of BWW, a very special Event created by
dear Susan.
But this is also a special week for me for another reason.
Tomorrow is my 27th Wedding Anniversary.
That makes me think of old things and new things and the time passing in between.
So, I hope you will apologize me being sentimental by
posting 2 gifts that are very dear to me.
Especially the first one.
These are an old salt-and-pepper shakers I have inharited from
my Mother-in-law Iris’s Mother Renèe.
These are rather old, probably some 50years.
And these was a gift Gokki (daughter n°3) and her boy-friend Giovanni
brought me from Lanzarote last year. They are so cute!
The photos where shot in black & white, outside in our
garden. The stone under is very old too,
it has been formed during the Cretaceous period (after Jurassic and before Paleogene) in the Cenozoic era.
It is called Pietra di Prun (from the name of a little village) – Prune Stone or Lessinia stone and comes from a special area
here nearby, The Lessinia.
The Lessinia is a plateau beginning in the Adige Valley – Val d’Adige and slooping slowly down to Vicenza.
It has a beautiful pink color due to the ammonites (extinct marines animals) inside.
